It's ACHE Tuesday - time for sharing an article about headache or Migraine from The Fred Sheftell, MD, Education Center.
This week, we're looking at medication overuse headache (MOH), also know as rebound headache or analgesic rebound headache.
MOH is one of the most difficult paradoxes facing people with headache disorders. It occurs when the very medications used to relieve Migraines and headaches are taken too frequently and backfire, causing - you guessed it - medication overuse headache.
For information on which medications can cause MOH, how frequent is too frequent, and more, see Medication Overuse Headache - When the Remedy Backfires.
To your good health!
